Following participatory governance processes, several human inhabitants of Ecodorp Boekel with an interest in local biodiversity form a dynamic 'circle' around this topic. The circle aims to collaborate with researchers in the Smart Forests project and they have dedicated much of their time to co-organising and participating in related activities. The group occasionally changes as new members may join and other members move to the peripheries. What characterises this collective can be found in their keen interest and knowledge of the biodiversity in the Ecovillage.
