Acoustic Sensing Fieldwork in Epping Forest

acoustics fieldwork listening

Smart Forests researchers went on a field trip to Epping Forest (on the border between London and Essex, UK) in September 2021. As part of a workshop on audio recording and editing led by Nina Garthwaite, we interviewed each other about a particular tree we encountered in this forest. This tree stood out to us because of its distinctive shape and characteristics.

This piece includes the voices of Jennifer Gabrys, Trishant Simlai, Max Ritts, Michelle Westerlaken, and Danilo Urzedo (in order of appearance) and is edited by Max Ritts.
