Forest Guardian is a Do-It-Yourself project developing a low-power solar-run device that detects illegal logging of wood at the edge of a forest using acoustic data. Developer Pratyush Mallick built and tested the device and uploaded a detailed tutorial on Hackster.io. The tutorial details all the required components, the source code, and guides the reader through the process of assembling the device.

The project won first place in the Hackster.io award for Best Battery Powered Proof-of-Concept (PoC): 1st Place as part of the Challenge Climate Change.
